IACHEC 2026@Bad Endorf in Germany

Experts in the high-energy astrophysical instruments gathered again in Bad Endorf, a beautiful city with the lake Pelham, 1 hour away from Munich, to have a yearly meeting on the international cross calibration of X-ray astronomical satellites (IACHEC 2026). This time I have shared the calibration status of XRISM Xtend and “flaring” events seen with Xtend in the particle-induced background data. As we are in the solar maximum, other satellite missions are also seeing such phenomena, probably related to solar or geomagnetic activities. It seems that we have a lot of valuable data on space weather in addition to distant objects.
