We held a research camp with Konan-U and OMU (Osaka Metropolitan University) members at a guesthouse in Nara. The place is surrounded by beautiful nature. Big meetings and small workshops have different pros and cons. They both matter.

I gave an overview of XRISM/Xtend on behalf of the Xtend team, at the 1st XRISM Data Analysis Workshop held at the University of Maryland on 2023 Feb. 22–23. This is to maximize the science outcome of XRISM, for which we will be working on hard starting from the latter half of this year.

I gave a presentation about the Chandra ACIS particle-induced background at IACHEC 2022. The “mkacispback” tool is now also available on the XSPEC “more models ” webpage. The detector background of different satellites with different orbits is very interesting.
